Anna Wintour, editor of American Vogue, has a new title to take pride in: that of an Officer of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire - or OBE.
The Queen of England has seen fit to grant Wintour the honor in recognition of her “services to British journalism and British fashion in the United States”. Wintour, who was also at the helm of British Vogue from 1986 to 1987, is the second British-born, U.S.-based magazine editor to receive the royal seal of approval this year. Rumor has it that Angelina Jolie will soon be joining the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Sarah Jessica Parker, all of whom have launched their own highly successful fragrances.
The Academy Award-winning actress is reportedly in the middle of talks with Coty, the same French fragrance house that launched Sarah Jessica Parker's signature scents, for the creation of her own line of products.
But should the project push through, the actress, who is pregnant with twins with partner Brad Pitt, is expected to take an active hand in the creation of the fragrance.

Naomi Campbell - www.koodos.com
For eight years, supermodel Naomi Campbell and dVb designer Victoria Beckham weren’t seeing eye-to-eye. Now all that animosity is apparently dead and buried, as the former Spice Girl has announced she has named her latest dVb denim design after the temperamental supermodel.
Reports say that the pair of jeans, called the 'Naomi', features a cut that makes the wearer’s legs appear longer. And Naomi seems to be all ga-ga about it.
"I love the fit, model and cut of the Naomi jeans Victoria Beckham has designed. I have already worn them many times and people always stop and ask me the make of my jeans”, she said.
Claudia Schiffer - www.montblanc.com
While celebrities and models these days seem to be falling over themselves churning out their own clothing ranges, the opposite is true of Claudia Schiffer, who has slammed the recent spate of celebrity clothing lines, describing them as just a way to make a “quick buck”
The German supermodel made the remarks at this week's Graduate Fashion Week, saying, "For me, it's not really about making a quick buck. I've had loads of offers from people wanting to attach my name to something”.
She, however, did not entirely dismiss the possibility of having her own fashion range in the near future.

Angela Lindvall - www.wildlifeworks.com
Roberto Cavalli's new autumn/winter 2008-9 campaign will be fronted by Angela Lindvall, Raquel Zimmerman, Frankie Rayder and Isabeli Fontana.
The four models, who are replacing Kate Moss for this season, are featured in a campaign that is inspired by a film called “Il Gattopardo”, which stars screen legend Burt Lancaster and Claudia Cardinale.
"I've always been aesthetically fascinated by this film. I also find Il Gattopardo, a story is based on the idea that 'the more it changes, the more it stays the same,' a good metaphor for fashion," Cavalli tells WWD.
Christian Bale could prove to be the best-dressed Batman yet, what with Giorgio Armani himself outfitting the actor for the upcoming Batman movie, “The Dark Knight”.
Bale would be wearing an array of hand made-to-measure suits every time he appears as Bruce Wayne, the billionaire alter ego of the superhero. His wardrobe includes single-breasted, three-button suits, single-breasted tuxedos and black wool coats.
